About Nalux

My grandfather started Kitagawa Seinosuke Shoten (Kitagawa Seinosuke Store) for salt packaging business in 1930. He then established Kitagawa and Company Limited in 1948 adding sales of nylon products.

In 1960, we started plastic molding, which was our second major manufacturing venture. We were successful in molding a plastic lens in 1963, and since then we have been meeting market needs and accumulating expertise and technologies.

Thanks to early adoption of technology developments in plastic lenses, we were awarded for various honorable awards presented by Osaka Mayor, Agency of Industrial Science and Technology, and other institutions.

With the corporate vision "Lighting a Path to the Future with Nano-Optics," we have been supplying the high-quality optical products fulfilling our customers’ needs.

I am aiming to achieve sustainably growing corporate management which will never collapse. As evidence of that, we have been consecutively profitable since the company establishment in 1970. In the effort, I have been striving to earn trust of our customers, business partners, employees, and society. This trust is the driving force that helped me cope with difficulties including the financial crisis involving bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers and address new challenges to pursue light and attain the ultimate in ultraprecision processing. I appreciate those who trust and support Nalux.

As stated in our management philosophy, I hope Nalux will be a “Tricentennial Enterprise.” It will be very hard to survive beyond 300 years, but I am determined to achieve it based on the tricentennial management concept. We look forward to having you with us on the journey.
